This prototype gateway system was designed for a target-shooting range with ultra-long-range (900Mhz band) zigbee transceivers.
The customer has a patented technology for detecting *where* a high-powered rifle bullet hits on an indestructible metal target plate with significant accuracy.
Performance was exceptional; 900Mhz zigbee provided much longer range than its 2.4Ghz cousin.
Distinguishing features: Mobile (battery powered, rechargeable). 915Mhz long-range Zigbee link to BTLE device (iPhone, iPad). Simple iPhone app provided by WTSi.
